Not just a river in Egypt

I have been in total denial over the fact I have a snowballs chance in hell of finishing Samus before the Madrona Fibre Arts winter retreat starts. Sunday I got a clue and figured out that it just wasn’t going to happen. I mean, it very well still could if my child slept 24 hours a day, the house cleaned itself, I had no homework, and didn’t need to eat, drink, or sleep. However, I think well know that none of that will happen either.

So I will be Samus-less at Madrona. Which may not be a bad thing, because who wants to be wearing that much wool while taking a class from Sally Melville or listening to Stephanie Pearl-McPhee speak?

Chocolate and Wine

And for the record, no Pinot Grigio was harmed in the taking of these pictures.

Knitter, Interrupted.

We’re sorry to report that all of Spring’s knitting progress has been brought to a complete halt by the beginning of her first quarter back at college in who knows how many years (she says 10, but we don’t believe it). Once she regains control of her brain and stops dreaming of linear equations she promises there will be real content again.
